Search underway for driver who allegedly hit, chased bicyclist in Waimanalo

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Authorities are searching for a driver who allegedly rammed into and chased a bicyclist in Waimanalo on Wednesday.
The incident happened around 11:40 p.m.
According to HPD, a 27-year-old man was riding his bike when a car hit him from behind.
Officials said the man was thrown onto the hood. He then got off and tried to flee on his bike, but that’s when the driver allegedly chased him, causing the biker to crash into a chain link fence.
The male driver fled the scene and is still out on the loose.
The victim suffered minor injuries.
HPD has launched an attempted murder investigation.
